Program Expansion
As more and more centers expand to multiple locations, enter
into cooperative arrangements, or combine to offer comprehensive
cancer services, the ability to manage patient records across
multiple locations becomes critical. IMPAC provides
multi-department management capability along with a line of
wireless and remote computing options.
Multi-Department Management
Multi-department Multi-ACCESS is ideal for multi-department or
multi-facility organizations that want to maintain separate
schedules and billing records, yet share a common patient
database for system-wide patient management and reporting.
Whether you work in a hospital-based department with one or more
satellite facilities, a comprehensive cancer center with both
medical and radiation oncology services, or an intra-hospital
arrangement where several centers provide their own technical
services yet share a single professional staff, IMPAC can
configure a multi-department solution to meet your specific
requirements.
Wireless Computing
IMPAC harnesses the latest wireless technology to give your
staff the ability to roam within a predefined area of the
facility while maintaining a constant, fully functional link to
the IMPAC oncology EMR. Clinicians can review, add, and modify
patient information directly at the point-of-care using
pen-tablets, mobile PC carts, or wireless-enabled laptop
computers. Redundant paperwork and potential transcription
errors are minimized or eliminated because clinicians are able
to document findings, record notes, and capture charges directly
into the portable EMR.
Mobile Solutions
While wireless computing helps mobilize the EMR within your
cancer center, IMPAC’s Internet Portal lets staff members access
the EMR remotely. With the IMPAC Internet Portal, clinicians can
establish remote, real-time connectivity to the IMPAC EMR from
wherever an authenticated Internet connection can be
established. That means your staff can access critical patient
data from a satellite facility, a home computer, or even a
personal digital assistant (PDA). The result is an EMR solution
that’s truly available anytime, anywhere.

electronic chart that’s as mobile as they are.
