up-to-date information on authorization status and requirements,
as well as information on the payer, you can immediately
determine any action that may be required to ensure proper
payment.
Capturing Charges
IMPAC’s advanced charge capture features – superbills, charge
panels, and auto-charging – make the time and effort spent
managing the paper charge ticket a thing of the past. Electronic
charge management reduces the chance of transcription errors,
coding inconsistencies, redundant data entries, or worst of all,
lost charges. And all captured charges are immediately available
for audit, invoicing, or management reporting.
Beyond Charge Capture
When combined with IMPAC’s External Systems Interfaces,
registration information can be imported from a hospital
information system, while charge information can be exported to
an external billing system for subsequent invoicing. When
configured with IMPAC’s medical billing and accounts receivable
system, charges can be posted directly to the IMPAC ledger in
preparation for electronic claims submission. The result is
faster, more complete reimbursement and a single source of
clinical and financial data for effective management reporting.
