Beyond Surgical Pathology
Case findings can be entered as predefined scores or free text
directly into Microsoft® Word® via the
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) resulting tool. Formatting the result
display is user-definable and saved in a protected section of
the patient report. Data is stored in synoptic tables, allowing
easy retrieval for follow-up treatment or statistical reporting.
Intelligent Design
The Immunohistochemistry Resulting module provides quick and
easy result entry, using table formats and drop-down menus.
Menus include pre-defined scores and support numeric free text
entries. Interpretation templates are user-defined and selected
from drop-down menus. Interpretations are defined for each
methodology stain group as they relate to the patient diagnosis
and prognosis. An easy tab format allows for resulting of
multiple cell populations with minimum keystrokes.
Report Generation and Formatting
After entry of individual stain results, a single mouse click
populates all results, interpretations, specimen information and
individual laboratory testing information into pre-defined
formats on the patient report. The resulting IHC report
information may include CLIA 88 testing certifications,
information regarding FDA labeling requirements, diagnostician
identification, and information about the stain methodology.
Modifying the Report
Diagnosticians can easily modify the report to augment stain
results or interpretations. This tool can be used to prepare the
initial report and amend or addend original reports.
