National Data Sets
The ability to access data aggregated from numerous disparate
facilities is critical for benchmarking and research. IMPAC
provides authorized parties with access to de-identified data
compiled using IMPAC cancer registry and treatment management
solutions. Benchmarking provides an opportunity to not only
evaluate your performance against other facilities, but also
ensures the data you capture can be put to valuable use beyond
your own center.
National Oncology DataBase™ (NODB™)
IMPAC’s National Oncology DataBase is the result of regular
submissions by IMPAC registry customers who in return, receive
site-specific aggregate data reports for comparative reviews and
annual reporting. With over 2 million cases occurring throughout
the United States from 1985 to the present, and a broad range of
data including detailed tumor descriptions, treatments
(radiation, hormonal, chemotherapy, biological, and surgical),
and survival outcomes in both outpatient and inpatient settings,
IMPAC’s NODB is a pre-validated source of timely, longitudinal
cancer data for population-based research.
Cancer Information Reference File™ (CIRF™)
IMPAC’s Cancer Information Reference File containing more
than 1.4 million cases is a second proprietary database based on
contributions from IMPAC registry customers. CIRF allows IMPAC
registrars to generate benchmark hospital data using regional
and national aggregates.
Oncology Data Alliance
IMPAC’s Oncology Data Alliance (ODA) provides a window into
patient cancer care through the analysis of cancer diagnostic
and treatment data. Alliance participants contribute a selection
of de-identified patient data from their MOSAIQ database to an
aggregated dataset. ODA participants then have access to reports
based on this dataset to assess quality standards and to perform
benchmarking and learn more about how their oncology program
compares to a pool of thoroughly reviewed oncology-specific
data.

NODB and CIRF allow IMPAC cancer registry customers
to benchmark data against regional and national
aggregates; while the Oncology Data Alliance lets
IMPAC cancer centers share data for outcomes
studies.
