IMPAC Announces Clinical
Support for Proton Therapy
at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center
Multi-vendor, multi-disciplinary team
reaches major milestone to advance radiation therapy treatment
management
IMPAC announces that since
May 2006 The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center has been
in clinical use with IMPAC's treatment management solution to manage
delivery and chart radiation therapy treatments at its new proton
therapy center. While the project focused primarily on EMR support
for proton therapy, customers using more conventional treatment
methods will benefit from the work done on this project.

Patients’
electronically entered self-assessments now transmitted real-time
into IMPAC EMR
IMPAC has announced that The
West Clinic is now live with the automated transmittal of patient
entered self-assessment data items via the Supportive Oncology
Services (SOS) Patient Care Monitor™ (PCM) to the IMPAC electronic
medical record (EMR). The West Clinic, located in Memphis,
Tennessee, is the first cancer treatment facility to implement the
electronic collection of patient self-assessments via the PCM into
an EMR for real-time availability to oncologists.
