IMPAC Medical Systems Expands Medical Oncology Marketing Team

 
   
Sunnyvale, Calif., January 15, 2008
IMPAC Medical Systems, an Elekta company and leading provider of oncology IT solutions, announces today the addition of three new employees to its Medical Oncology Business Unit. Faye-Ann MacDonald has been appointed to the position of Senior Product Manager, as well as, Jennifer Li and Sherry Neal to the position of Product Manager. IMPAC created the new positions to reinforce our commitment to the Medical Oncology field, as well as, better provide electronic solutions to the Medical Oncology and comprehensive markets.

MacDonald joined the IMPAC team in 2006 as Senior Services Specialist for STRATEGIQ™. In this role, MacDonald successfully completed numerous process-engineering engagements for IMPAC customers, helping them streamline their clinical and business processes.

With a Business Certificate from the University of Calgary, MacDonald has worked in several major Canadian hospitals, gaining extensive knowledge and expertise across the spectrum of patient and cancer care. In addition, MacDonald also serves as Clinical Analyst for multiple academic cancer institutes throughout the United States.

“Faye-Ann is a great addition to the team and already is making a positive impact,” said Suzanne Marshall, Medical Oncology Business Marketing Manager. “With her extensive experience in the field of cancer care, she’s poised to take the MO business to the next level.”

At iMedica, an Electronic Medical Record company, Jennifer Li served many roles, including Product Manager and Quality Assurance Manager. Prior to that, Li worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the North America Brain Tumor Consortium at MD Anderson.

Li also has a well-rounded and diverse educational background. She holds a MD in Pediatrics from Shanghai Second Medical University and earned Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.

“I’m looking forward to be working with a visionary company like IMPAC," says Li, IMPAC’s new Medical Oncology Product Manager. “We have exciting plans in store to enhance the MO product line, as well as, to help propel the company into the future with more leading-edge technologies.”

An oncology professional and former IMPAC Customer, Sherry Neal became a member of the IMPAC team in 2000. She has held several positions including; consultant to Client Services and Medical Oncology Product Marketing Specialist.

A graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Neal has fully immersed herself in the oncology field for the past 23 years. Her extensive oncology experience includes; treatment and management of oncology patients, nursing management, department directorship of multiple comprehensive cancer centers and directorship of inpatient and outpatient cancer programs.

Neal also has co-authored two patient education manuals, as well as, served as a member of the editorial board for Aspen Publishers.
