IMPAC Partner, OTN Installs Lynx Mobile™ in More Than 100 Community Oncology Practices

Provides Easy, Reliable Interface to 90 Percent of EMR and Practice Management Systems

South San Francisco, February 26, 2007
OTN, a leading physician services company and one of the largest distributors of products and services to the community physician market, today announced that since its introduction in July 2006, approximately 200 customers signed agreements to use Lynx Mobile™. OTN also announced that, to date, more than 100 community oncology practices, representing more than 300 physicians, have already installed the application. Since inception, Lynx Mobile has facilitated treatment for over 70,000 patients.

An automated charge capture, inventory management and reporting tool, Lynx Mobile was developed by OTN specifically for community-based infusion therapy clinic staff to help them more efficiently manage their inventory of drugs and supplies and improve practice revenue management.

"In only six months, approximately 200 of our oncology customers have signed up to use Lynx Mobile because of its ability to help them decrease lost charges and manage inventory in a way that allows clinics to run as efficiently as possible," said Gena Cook, vice president of sales and marketing for OTN. "This is a testament to the technological advance that Lynx Mobile represents and further illustrates how OTN differentiates itself from simple distributors in the marketplace. We believe Lynx Mobile's intuitive user interface and accessibility anywhere in the clinic changes the way community-based infusion clinics manage their patient care and work flow. With Lynx Mobile, practices have more time to focus on delivering optimal patient care."

Also, as part of OTN's continuing efforts to enhance Lynx Mobile based on user feedback, the company launched interfaces between Lynx Mobile and 90 percent of electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management systems available in the marketplace. This includes IMPAC's oncology EMR, OTN's preferred oncology EMR vendor. These interfaces facilitate the exchange of information between a clinic's EMR or practice management system and Lynx Mobile.

"Lynx Mobile is convenient, easy to use and closely matches the work flow in our practice. It allows us to capture lost charges on the system and gain data and information to help run our practice," said Michele K. White, practice administrator for Hinsdale Hematology-Oncology Associates in Hinsdale, Ill. "We have found that the Lynx Mobile and IMPAC interface is vastly better than our previous interface. Now that we have OTN's interface in place, patient information is automatically transferred between our practice management system and Lynx Mobile. This automatic updating of our practice management system saves us time by eliminating manual re-entry of patient data and patient charges."

"Lynx Mobile was developed under a user-centered design process, with significant input from our network of community-based oncologists," said Mike Kelly, chief information officer of OTN. "We have been able to deliver nine releases of customer requested enhancements, all of which were available for immediate use without disruption to the practices' daily activities or focus on treating patients. We are committed to continuing this approach through delivery of monthly improvements to Lynx Mobile."
