IMPAC Medical Systems,

services, announce today their agreement to collaborate on future
development of enhanced interfaces to connect the Elekta product
lines of digital linear accelerators (Elekta Synergy® and Precise
Treatment System®) with IMPAC’s oncology information management
products.
A new enhanced interface is expected to ship later this year which
will add a high speed capability supportive of Elekta’s
PreciseBEAM™ IMRT. This high-speed performance enhancement will
also be included in the DICOM-RT compliant linear accelerator
interface
the companies are jointly developing. IMPAC and Elekta were the
first two companies to formally endorse and adopt the emerging
DICOM-RT linear accelerator interface standard.
