registry data management systems, today announced the release of a
new addition to its line of registry products, Précis-ConnectTM.
Précis-Connect unites IMPAC’s Précis registry data management
products with Multi-ACCESSTM, IMPAC’s integrated oncology
management system and EMR. With Précis-Connect, data collected at
the point-of-care is quickly and accurately imported into the
cancer registry database, saving registrars’ time that can be
spent on follow-up and reporting.
Précis-Connect represents the culmination of development efforts
aimed at oncology-wide data management and decision support beyond
the traditional role of cancer registries. Finding new cancer
patients (case-finding) and updating cancer patients’ abstracts
(follow-up) consume much time on the part of cancer registrars.
Précis-Connect integrates data in Multi-ACCESS and Hospital
Information Systems with the cancer registry program adding to the
completeness of registry abstract information. In addition,
Précis-Connect significantly contributes to data quality by
eliminating errors caused by re-entering data that has already
been input elsewhere in the care process.
