IMPAC President and CEO Joe Jachinowski. “By best understanding
the complex needs of today’s healthcare practitioner and providing
the sophisticated practice, clinical and disease management tools
to meet those needs, we anticipate continued growth in the
healthcare information technology market.”
IMPAC’s software manages the daily treatment of 50,000 cancer
patients worldwide, with electronic charting and image management
speeding the communications of patient information. As data
communications and transmission security has improved, IMPAC has
begun developing Internet-enabled management initiatives.
“Our Application Service Provider (ASP) and Business Service
Provider (BSP) products and services will serve as catalysts that
allow our current customers to take full advantage of their
existing software, and provide us an avenue to expand into new
provider segments. And, by employing Virtual Private Networks and
other internet enabling technology, clinicians will have a more
secure, yet easier means to access critical patient information,
no matter where they are,” said IMPAC Chief Operating Officer Jay
Hoey. “Ultimately, these tools help clinicians provide better and
more efficient patient care.”
