“Nursing informatics increases productivity, promotes
creativity, and enhances the nurse's role in clinical research.
The tools I design make clinical research data more accurate and
protocol management easier,” describes Ms. Lopez. “I feel
honored to receive the 2007 Excellence in Nursing Informatics
Award from ONS. It means recognition from other oncology nursing
experts and the opportunity to share my work with all other ONS
members.”
The processes of clinical trials are the main focus of Ms.

Informed Consent for Phase I Clinical Trials, and Automating a
Nursing Process: How to Design a Computer Tool to Verify
Eligibility for Clinical Trials.
