Elekta will host its 2009 Radiation Oncology Users Meeting (ROUM),
Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. Now in its 18th
year, the ROUM is the premier event for radiation oncologists,
nurses, physicists and therapists in town for the 51st American
Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting.
Participants also are invited to attend the Elekta Halloween
Charity Bash.
Taking place at the Hilton in downtown Chicago, the meeting will
open with a general session entitled: Beyond Technology, There
Are Intelligent Solutions. Three concurrent mini general
sessions will follow, as well as afternoon breakouts that delve
into topics such as the latest technology and treatment
techniques for cancer care, government stimulus and changes in
reimbursement.
Following the meeting, is the Elekta Halloween Charity Bash. The
first vendor-sponsored charity event of its kind, all donations
will go directly to All Are Our Heroes, a song project
benefiting Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
Featuring a DJ, dancing and more, the party will be held at
Union Station Chicago from 7:30 - 11:30 p.m. Tickets are
