IMPAC
Medical Systems, Inc., the leading provider of image and data
management software for cancer therapy since 1990, announced today
the expansion of existing operations to Henderson, Nevada. IMPAC
currently has approximately 200 employees in more than 20 states
with the majority located at the corporate headquarters in
Mountain View, Calif., and in the Cambridge, Mass. location.
The new Nevada office will serve as additional support for IMPAC’s
1600 customers as well as development, testing, and support
assistance for core product lines. Currently, IMPAC has 20
employees working out of this office, many of whom have
transferred from California. IMPAC plans to expand by an
additional 60 employees before the end of next year.
IMPAC chose the Henderson, Nevada location for its affordable
housing and office space, as well as Henderson’s close proximity
to the airport, which provides easy commuting between IMPAC’s
offices and travel to customer sites.
Nevada’s state tax abatements and deferrals provided IMPAC further
incentive to locate its office in Henderson. In August, IMPAC’s
Executive Vice President, David Auerbach, went before Nevada’s
Commission on Economic Development to request incentives based on
the recent expansion. The Commission granted IMPAC’s application
and the company will receive state tax abatements provided
specified requirements are met.

to draw on the Nevada’s strong work force,” stated Mr. Auerbach.
