IMPAC Medical Systems,
Inc., the leading provider of integrated clinical and
administrative management systems for cancer specialists since
1990, announced today an implementation partnership with Cancer
Care Ontario (CCO) to install IMPAC’s integrated oncology
management system.
As the largest provider of cancer care services in North America,
CCO undertook an extensive three-year selection process to select
a vendor capable of meeting their comprehensive needs and
achieving their vision of total clinical and practice management
integration. Practice management features are seamlessly
integrated with an electronic medical record that includes
chemotherapy order entry, radiation oncology verification and
recording, and digital image management.
The initial installation partnership covers the replacement of
CCO’s internal patient management system with IMPAC’s Multi-ACCESS
oncology management system in two regional cancer centres:
Northwestern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre in Thunder Bay and
Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre in Sudbury. After the
initial installations and evaluations are complete, plans will be
finalized for installations in the remaining cancer centres
located throughout the province.
